Music for Savannah

A Song of Love, Faith, and Remembrance

Savannah Joy Clark’s life was a sacred gift.

On January 29, 2026, at just 19 months old, Savannah entered Heaven’s Gate. Though her time on earth was brief, her life was overflowing with love, warmth, and joy. Savannah had a smile that lit up every room, a deep love for cuddles, and a voice eager to “tell you all about it” in her own sweet way. She brought comfort and happiness to everyone blessed to know her.

As an infant, Savannah was diagnosed with Infantile Spasms, a rare and serious neurological condition. Her journey was filled with hospital visits, testing, and uncertainty, yet her family walked each step with unwavering love and faith. In November 2025, Savannah experienced a medical emergency that revealed significant brain atrophy affecting her vital systems. After much prayer and care, Savannah was brought home on hospice.

Those final weeks were a profound gift. Surrounded by her parents, Jon and Elizabeth, and her siblings, Nora, Katie, and Patrick, Savannah’s days were filled with togetherness, laughter, and love. The family captured precious memories through professional photographs and celebrated Christmas in the most meaningful way possible, together. Savannah continued to bring smiles and joy to her family until the very end.

In her final moments, Savannah was wrapped in the loving arms of her family.

In Savannah’s honor, The C Major Project is offering a special choral commission composed by Chris, based on the Funeral Mass for Infants from the Catholic Latin Mass. This sacred work is our way of turning grief into prayer. All proceeds from this commission will be gifted directly to the Clark family to assist with hospital bills and funeral expenses.

This is the first of a set of three texts to be set in honor of Savannah. The Introit to the funeral Mass for baptized infants translates as: As for me, in justice I shall behold your face; I shall be filled with the vision ofyour glory. (Psalm 17)Since we don't have a choir readily available at this time, the demo recording is played on the organ, but it will give you an idea of the music. Disclaimer: it was recorded in one take on an iphone right at the organ console (which is why you can also hear the clicking of the keys).

The other texts to be set are the Offertory and Communion texts for the same Mass.
